    Probably the two most important contributions animals made to farmers was as food and transportation. Farmers raised cattle, hogs, chicken, goats, etc. for meat, milk, eggs, etc. Before cars horses and horse drawn carriages provided the only transportation. Before farm equipment plows were pulled by oxen.

    Columbus thought that you could easily control the natives because he had more advanced weapons. He also thought that he could easily convert them to Christians and make them slaves for him. The natives were more outgoing and friendly than Columbus Columbus took advantage of that and turned on them. So Columbus thought that he could easily control the natives just because he had come from a more advanced society.
