Explain how to write the equation of a line if you know its y-intercept and the equation of a line to which it is parallel?

    If you use the equation y = mx+b then you already know what the b term is because you have the y intercept. For the m (slope) you take the slope of the other line and use that because since there parallel they are going to run at the same angle (slope). Hope this helped. If you have any questions just ask.
